The overview
A coastal marquee with candlelight and sea air
Nicole and Michael wanted the ocean in every photograph and none of the worry in their day. We found a bluff-top marquee site, built the whole celebration around golden hour, and timed the ceremony so the sun dropped behind the dunes just as they kissed.
The challenge
An exposed coastal site in October means wind, shifting light and a tide-dependent drinks reception. Our team drew three layout options, walked the site with the marquee crew twice, and built a wet-weather plan so elegant the couple half-hoped for rain.
Our approach
Blush garden roses and trailing greenery softened the sailcloth tent, while low candle clusters kept tables glowing against the early dusk. The seating chart grouped college friends, family and work tables into neighbourly clusters — the dance floor filled during the first course and never emptied.
